I was looking for a small unit of my great replacement. I can with my receiver, BluRay and DRV with no problem. It is deep enough for them so well hidden. I would have been another component, but that would just fit and had clearance issues on bluray tray. It is perfectly designed for the section width, too. This is solid wood and the back has a cutout for the cables in the middle, so both the upper and lower parts using the same hole. BTW: The shelf is not adjustable, but you can probably leave it off if you wanted. 4 of 4 people found this review helpful. Just right for S. Brooks, I was looking for a coffee table that the TV components could keep for a long time and this was the only one I could find that was small enough. It is not clear from the context, and does not say anywhere in the description Esspresso, not black, I had originally wanted, but the brown is very dark and handsome, and looks better than black would actually fairly easy to put together and the instructions were clear, so long as you have already put together something with a lock CAM / screws first (most of IKEA'S stuff is built with them).
